Privacy
Effective 19 September 2026
This website
- No cookies. Nothing is stored on your device — no cookies, no local storage. There is nothing here to consent to.
- The pages are static files. Visits are counted using PostHog, an analytics service we send data to in the United States: which page was opened, where the link came from, whether the install button was pressed, and the browser, device type and approximate country your request came from. Your IP address reaches PostHog as part of that request; it is what the approximate country is derived from.
- Sessions on this site are recorded. PostHog also captures a replay of the page as you saw it — what was on screen, what you scrolled past, what you clicked — so we can tell where a page loses people. It records this page only: not another tab, not another site, and there is no form anywhere on this site to type anything into.
- Because nothing is stored on your device, one visit cannot be linked to the next — two pages read in a row look like two strangers, and each one is its own separate replay.
- The typefaces come from Google Fonts, so loading any page here makes a request to
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com, and your IP address reaches Google as part of it. Nothing else on this site is fetched from anyone else. - If you email us, your address and what you write are used only to reply to you. No lists are sold, shared, or rented — ever.
The StockUnison app
- To sync inventory, the app reads products, inventory levels, and locations of the Shopify stores you connect, via Shopify's API and with the permissions Shopify shows you at install.
- It stores what the sync needs: the pairing between your stores, your stores' names, SKU match results, the product titles and image links it shows you on its own screens, inventory quantities involved in syncs, and a log of every sync decision (visible to you in the app). It also holds the access token Shopify issues it for your store, which is what lets it read and write inventory on your behalf.
- It also sends product analytics to PostHog, identified by your
.myshopify.comstore domain: which screens were opened, events such as connecting a store, going live, or running a match, the resulting counts (how many SKUs matched or were ambiguous — never the SKUs themselves), and any errors. Unlike this website, the app stores a small identifier in your browser's local storage so those events belong to one session, and sessions in the app are recorded the same way as on this site. Anything typed into a field is masked and does not reach the recording. - The app's own server logs go to Grafana Cloud, a log service in the United States, so that a failure can be diagnosed after the fact. Those lines carry your
.myshopify.comstore domain and what the app was doing; they carry no customer data. - It does not read or store your customers' personal data.
- It never sells or shares your data with anyone.
- Uninstalling the app ends the store pairing and deletes its sessions and access token automatically. Shopify then requires us to erase that store's data, which happens on its own without you asking. If you want everything gone sooner, email us and it's done.
